Update #7
August 10, 2015
Hi everybody,
On Saturday the 8th of August a group of us; friends and family of Keiko gathered together at her place to help furnish the boulevard space. Unlike other Placemaking sessions, this would be the first time we would be using bits and pieces of mosaic tiles.
Thus, our goal was to furnish the boulevard space as a Mosaic garden. In order to decorate the space we went into 3 groups of 3 to 4 individuals and each group was in charge of working together and personalising the space provided by the panels with glass and mosaic shards.
Afterwards working on the panels we went for a lunch, discussing our plans, ideas and the experience itself. Once everyone was done with lunch we had a “preview” of the Placemaking documentary that’s currently a work in progress. We got a chance to showcase Oliver’s interview and the process behind the pollinator garden. Plus it was a worthwhile opportunity to get feedback on the film from fresh set of eyes.
Although work on the panels have not been finished, further sessions will planned for the future and continue following our blog to see the final productJ.
